Rare Dankness created The Ox as a combination of Bubba Kush and the breeders' proprietary Stone Mountain strain.

The top reported aromas of The Ox are coffee, berries, and spiced cocoa. It is said to taste like chocolate, spiced berries, and espresso.

The Ox is an indica-like hybrid that develops short, thick profiles with sturdy branches. The cultivar resists most pests and environmental hardships, though outdoor growers should still protect plants from turbulent weather conditions. Indoor gardens benefit from the SOG method, producing flowers in seven to nine weeks. Outdoor plants reach full maturity in late September, producing around 12 ounces per plant in ideal conditions.
